WIth one exception: THE REMOTES, First of all, they, they are way, way cool. The kids love them, they look very high tech and the grip for the hand make them extremely comfortable. However, I have found them to have extremely poor durability and that has become a HUGE difficulty.After programing all the remotes according to the game specs, I called my class in and we started playing the New Classroom Jeopardy Game I purchased from AMAZON as well. From virtually the very first minute, my students began having difficulty using these remotes. They were contstantly simply turning off and becoming inactive. I could not go back and reprogram them without interrupting the entire game. Now, I have used the remotes from the previous game and I ASSURE you those remotes are MUCH more sturdy and have the strength to withstand the "classroom... Customer service from Learning Resources is top-notch!I purchased 2 sets of these at 2 different times. The second time around, there was ONE defective remote out of 12. It was only $100, so I didn't want to return it to Amazon. I decided to contact Educational Insights about my dilemma. They asked me to email them my receipt and a brief description of the problem. After a week, I received my replacement remote at NO CHARGE to me. Anyway, the remotes work really well. Read my original review for the base set, EI8000. The ONLY reason why I docked one star from this set is because in order to use these remotes, you MUST push EVERY remote that you plan to use before the game begins. You cannot add remotes in the middle of the game. I found this out after I lost 24 batteries thinking that they were drained. When I went home, I tested them and realized that I didn't "push" the buttons on every remote, so they didn't work... Read more |
